John Arthur Findley
According to his sister Mary Caroline Findley Edmands, 1887-1970, John was married to a French girl during World War I in France, where he was assistant to U.S. Consul. "They had one daughter who did not live, because they did not have proper care, because the French doctors were in the war mostly.... They resided for a while in LeHavre, France." According to his niece Ethel Jean Edmands Weeks, b. 1909, John "died on the golf course in Rochester, N.Y. His wife was a beautiful French girl, and I guess she returned to France after his demise."
