Sources on Philip Bean:

  • Wendy Edmands Pearson, in her research for membership in the Colonial Dames
  • Mary Caroline Findley Edmands, 1887-1970, in her research for membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution. Also, in her diary entry of 24 June 1954: "We went up through Concord Franklin and Meredith and got to Ctr. Sandwich about 11. A woman directed us to Leroy White 'who loves to talk.' Found him and was taken into his big house and he looked up records of Town and found Levi Bean was son of Philip and Lydia Faerguson, his first wife. Mr. White told us about Ernest Bean and we found his wife on old homestead and she was quite thrilled. Jean's age I guess. Told us more. Ernest is descended from Philip and his second wife Betsy Moulton."
  • Mary Anna Hawes Edmands Ashbrook, 1917-1992, in her compilation of Mary Caroline Findley Edmands's research
  • Congregational Church of Sanbornton, NH has information on a Betsy Moulton who was a professed member of the congregation and died in May 1821
